Non-genetically engineered (also called non-GMO) labeling of food and beverage products is increasing due to consumer demand and legislative pressure. To meet this heightened interest, Tate & Lyle has assembled a large portfolio of non-GE options across all three platforms (fiber enrichment, sugar/calorie reduction and texturants) to ensure food and beverage manufacturers are able to align their products with market needs. Tate & Lyle has several facilities in North America that have recently become certified to manufacture non-GE products, and they will continue to expand their local manufacturing capabilities to keep pace with these increasing demands.
Most recently, as part of the growing interest for “Cleaner label non-GMO ingredients,” Tate & Lyle expanded its CLARIA® Functional Clean-Label Starches line with the introduction of CLARIA® Delight tapioca-based starches. CLARIA® Delight enables manufacturers worldwide to formulate products with cleaner labels while maintaining excellent taste, texture, color and performance.
