To Our Valued Partners:
Here at Skidmore, we are continuing to monitor the situation closely surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. We have taken several steps to help mitigate the risk of infection within our own operation as well as staying in close contact with our major service and product suppliers.
Our housekeeping teams have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitation of high traffic areas, and we have implemented additional training for cleaning and sanitation for all employees. We are restricting visitor access to our facilities to reduce exposure.
Many of our employees are telecommuting where possible. We have identified and are training additional staff within our operation to backfill critical operational roles, should the need arise. We are currently operational and fully staffed across all our operation. With remote access to systems, customer interactions and administrative functions will continue as normal.
Our Supply Chain is currently functioning with a minimum amount of disruptions. To date, we have not been informed of any issues with supply on current orders. We increased our inventory to 45 days of inventory on average, and we have worked with suppliers to try and bring in additional supply where needed. We continue to hold large inventories to help support our customers during this time.
We are working closely with our transportation partners to ensure the availability of equipment. We have seen a recent increase in rates, but availability has not been an issue. We have many transportation relationships in place to leverage, in the event we need to spread our volume out.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely, with a heavy focus on keeping our staff healthy, operation running, and product inventoried at proper levels.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best Regards,
