Ray joined our team in March 2021 bringing more than 30 years of experience in many segments of the food industry. This includes Operations with Walt Disney World, Director of Food Operations in Grant Park, GM Food Operations for the Chicago Bulls, Blackhawks and 11 years in sales with Sysco Foods. He also owned and operated a small eclectic restaurant in the heart of the Chicago Business district.
Prior to joining Skidmore, he spent the last 6 years importing and industrial sales of spices from Asia and Europe along with blending and co-packing dry ingredients for Henry Broch Foods. Ray is passionate about sourcing ingredients and helping manufacturers manage market trends and agricultural climate conditions.
He has a BS in Food Science with a major in Food & Nutrition Management from Southern Illinois University.
He’s also a personal trainer and you will usually find him in the gym in his free time. He also enjoys playing Chef on the weekends, fishing and has a love for all animals, especially his 14 lb. Pomeranian.
