Tess joined the Skidmore team in 2016. She has been in the food industry since getting her Bachelor’s degree in Food Science at The Ohio State University in 2010. She has experience with both quality management in manufacturing, and product development.
While Tess has worked in a couple different environments, her favorite aspect of both has always been the customer interaction. Tess’s knowledge helps her answer technical questions of the customer, while getting them a solution to their problem timely, and effectively. She has specific experience in beverage development, stabilizer systems, high acid canning, and aseptic processing.
Outside of work, Tess is a fitness addict. She’s been an athlete in the sport of Crossfit for two years, and Olympic lifting for one year. She also has a dog named Brutus, after the mascot of her favorite sports team: the Buckeyes.
